How To Clear Browser Data/History [Self-Service]
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome: Click on the Chrome icon to launch the browser.
- Access History: Click on the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner to open the menu. Hover over "History" and then click on "History" again from the submenu, or press Ctrl + H
- Open Clear Browsing Data: In the left sidebar, click on "Clear browsing data." Alternatively, you can also go directly to this by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Del
- Select Time Range: In the pop-up window, choose the time range for which you want to clear the history (e.g., Last hour, Last 24 hours, All time).
- Select Data to Clear: Make sure “Browsing history” is checked. You can also choose to clear other data like cookies or cached images.
- Clear Data: Click on the “Clear data” button.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Mozilla Firefox: Launch the Firefox browser.
- Access History: Click on the three horizontal lines (menu) in the upper-right corner and select "History," then "Clear Recent History," or press Ctrl + Shift + Del
- Select Time Range: Choose the time range for which you want to clear the history.
- Select Data to Clear: Make sure “Browsing & Download History” is checked. You can also choose to clear other types of data.
- Clear Now: Click on the “Clear Now” button.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge: Click on the Edge icon to open the browser.
- Access History: Click on the three horizontal dots in the upper-right corner and select "History," or press Ctrl + H.
- Open Clear Browsing Data: Click on “Clear browsing data” from the History menu or press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
- Select Time Range: Choose the time range you want to clear.
- Select Data to Clear: Ensure “Browsing history” is selected. You can also choose to clear other types of data.
- Clear Now: Click on the “Clear now” button.
